Making Eyes "Pop"

I have noticed a trend in portrait photography over the past few years of making eyes "pop" or sharper than what an original photo depicts. I decided to learn this technique since I recently took some great photos of C.M. and his eyes are a gorgeous green that deserve to shine.

What I love is that the color of his eyes are now more vibrant and you can see the subtle variations in color. This will be a technique that I will be applying to shots like this in the future, they just look great!
